Return stitch to right needle. I teach how to slip stitches knitwise and purlwise first. Slipping a stitch purlwise keeps it in the same position or mount on the needle, and is the most common way to slip a stitch.
You can also use slip stitches to make a ring or a circle.
New to slipping your stitches? In this photo the navy yarn is the new yarn about to knit the first stitch. Return stitch to right needle. Sometimes stitches are slipped without working from the right needle to the left needle.
